About
Dr. Tasha is The Millennial Black Professor®—a former academic turned full-time entrepreneur, author, podcaster, and bookstore owner. With a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy, and Culture, she teaches African American Studies and literature courses, and her research centers Black body politics: how our bodies and lives are policed, how our stories are co-opted, and how we push back.
Her work is grounded in the belief that intentional, not performative, wellbeing is critical to our ability to thrive.
Dr. Tasha created her signature B.A.L.M. for Black Women™ and an additional suite of courses after years of watching Black women pour from empty cups, chase clarity in chaos, shrink, and silence themselves while trying to function in spaces that weren't made for us or with us in mind. This course reflects what she’s had to learn (and unlearn) in real time.
Her approach is rooted in literature, storytelling, and lived experience. Through speaking engagements, online courses, coaching, and consulting, she offers what is often deemed unimportant or lacking the rigor of academic study in a way that’s accessible, relevant, and real.
